Don’t Eat These Foods if Your Diabetic

As researchers delve deeper into the effect diet and certain foods have on people with type 2 diabetes, they have become to discover that many common foods that have were once thought of as safe and even healthy for diabetics to eat may in fact be making the condition worse.  The issue is that many of these foods are being shown to cause chronic inflammation and are causing constant insulin spikes and instability in blood sugars – which continues to advance the disease rather than reverse it.

The side effects and risks of diabetes are well documented – with side effects ranging from vision problems, kidney damage, painful nerve conditions, high blood pressure, irritability, risk of stroke, hearing loss and the significant increase in risk of having a heart attack.

Hope on the Horizon

For those struggling with being a type 2 diabetic, there appears to be hope on the horizon in what some are calling a radical new approach to nutrition.

Researchers have made significant progress in the creation of an eating strategy that showing exceptional results on diabetic patients based on the idea of removing foods that cause inflammation and hidden insulin spikes from patient’s diets.

As more evidence becomes available, there has been far more research being dedicated to treating the disease with nutrition, rather than pharmaceutical drugs.

In fact, just three companies control the entire production of insulin in the United States and costs have more than doubled in the past 3 years for patients – and they stand to lose billions if in fact researchers and supporters of controlling type 2 diabetes with nutrition – like Doctor Oz are in fact correct.
